Events & Donations

Nurses House runs solely on donations from nurses, the health care community, and others who care. Aside from accepting general donations throughout the year, Nurses House hosts several annual fundraising events to help us meet our mission. They include the Have a Heart for Nurses in Need Campaign in February; the Dolphins for Nurses Campaign, which runs from April to May (culminating in National Nurses Week); the Dolphin Award Ceremony; and the 9&Wine golf event in partnership with Davin Healthcare in the fall.

Ways to Donate

  • Please mail your donations to:
    Nurses House, Inc.
    2113 Western Avenue, Suite 2
    Guilderland, NY 12084-9559

  • To gift stock, please provide your investment manager with the following information:
    Nurses House EIN Number 13-1927913

  • If you are planning to make a donation, make sure to check with your employer to see if they have a charitable match program, because one donation is good, but two is even better!

  • A charitable bequest is a distibution from an estate to a charitable organization through your last will and testament. Charitable bequests are a meaningful way to carry on one's legacy. If you think there may me additional funds left, after your family's needs have been met, we hope you will consider making a gift to Nurses House to continue helping nurses in need. If you wish to make a bequest to Nurses House, all it takes is a call to your attorney to add Nurses House as a beneficiary in your will.

For Valentine's Day and throughout the month of February individuals have the opportunity to make a donation in honor of a nurse and send them an e-card through the Nurses House "Have a Heart" campaign. All donations go directly to nurses in need and all honorees are listed here. Two lucky winners are selected from all the honorees to receive a swag bag full of goodies.

Sponsors for the 2023 campaign included NYSNA (Gold) and the Alpha Upsilon and Tau Kappa Chapters of Sigma Theta Tau (Silver). To become a sponsor for the 2024 campaign, contact Stephanie Dague at sdague@nurseshouse.org
